About bicycle commuting
As we expand through out the island so does the amount
of people living in close proximity to the offices.
To make life simpler we have started an approval system for commuting by bikes to work.
If you wish to commute by bicycle, please read the following conditions.
Please arrange the necessary documents before applying.

When commuting by bicycle, various traffic regulations regarding bicycles apply.

Insurance obligation and crime prevention registration
To ride a bicycle in Hyogo prefecture,
Regardless of "whether or not you use it for commuting", the following two are obligatory.
Security registration (Registration fee 600 yen)

However, this shall not apply when a person other than the bicycle user has taken measures to join the bicycle damage compensation insurance, etc. related to the use.
* Please take out insurance that covers the compensation amount of 100 million yen or more for personal compensation.
In addition, there is a possibility that you have a personal compensation contract for special contracts such as fire insurance and automobile insurance that you have subscribed to individually, so please check your contract carefully before proceeding.

The maximum time required for commuting by bicycle is about 30 minutes one way .
Considering the current state of road maintenance on Awaji Island,
Only employees who work in offices located on the sea side of the east coast of Awaji Island are eligible.

If any of the following conditions are met
Bicycle commuting is not possible.
・Roads without a pedestrian or designated cycling lane.
・ Roads crossing mountains.
・ Working at a store, facility, or office on the west coast
・ When it is judged to be dangerous
Q1: I don't know if my insurance covers personal compensation including bicycle accidents.
A1: Please check your insurance policy or contact your insurance company.
Q2: I do not have insurance that can guarantee a bicycle accident. what do you recommend?

Q4: What happens to my commuting expenses when I commute by bicycle?
A4: If you commute by bicycle, you will not be paid for commuting.
Q5: Why is it OK to commute by bicycle only in the eastern office?
A5:There are no cycling lanes nor are the roads sufficiently maintained along the west coast.
Also, the route to cross the mountain is not suitable for commuting by bicycle every day, so it is not permissible at this time.
